LeagueFinder ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by LeagueFinder. We built this platform to help fantasy baseball players find leagues and commissioners find players. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it.

By creating an account or using LeagueFinder, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to run the platform:

• Account information: Your email address, username, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth) when you create an account.
• Profile information: Optional details you provide — a bio, preferred league formats, and preferred platforms.
• Listing content: League listings and orphan team postings you create, including descriptions, screenshots, and any associated details.
• Join requests: Notes and contact information you submit when requesting to join a league, and communications between commissioners and players.
• Usage data: Basic interaction data (e.g. which listings you view or save) to help us improve the platform. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform — powering your account, listings, and join requests.
• To send transactional emails — notifications about your join requests, approvals, and declines. These are essential to the service and cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.
• To send product update emails — occasional announcements about new features and improvements, only if you opted in during signup or in your profile settings. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your information with advertisers. LeagueFinder is ad-free.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are managed through Supabase Auth. Emails are sent via Resend.

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

Contact Information Sharing

When you submit a join request, you can optionally include your email address and/or Discord handle. This information is shared with the commissioner of the league you're applying to — only if your request is approved. It is not shared publicly or with other users.

Email Communications

We send two types of emails:

• Transactional emails — join request notifications, approval/decline notices. These are sent as part of the core service and are not optional while you have an active account.
• Product update emails — feature announcements and platform news. You control this preference. You can opt in or out during signup, or at any time from the Email Preferences section of your profile.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you.
• Update or correct your profile information at any time.
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Opt out of product update emails at any time from your profile or by emailing us.

Children's Privacy

LeagueFinder is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of LeagueFinder after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
